by Tanya KatnicA best-selling romance novelist, Rachel Timmons has spun tales of passionate love, traveled to exotic locales, and written about people from all walks of life. She’s an expert on love and lust. Sadly, she had never experienced that intense love herself until she found it in her little hometown of Oakview in an unexpected turn of events.Supporting Rachel are some special Oakviewites. There is her sister Jackie, with whom Rachel reconnected after 10 years. Jackie owns Main Street Treasures, a boutique. Bryan Stanley, Oakview Chief of Police, always looks out for Rachel; he’s a kind of personal protector for her. For comic relief, there’s Bev Rodgers who runs Exquisite Nails and Spa, the perfect place for Bev because she is the town’s biggest gossip. Brock Hampton is Rachel’s neighbor, a retired defense attorney who is like her surrogate father. His love is Madeline Collins, a retired paralegal. Curmudgeon Maisie Roberts owns Oakview Cleaners. She is loved by the town, despite her stubbornness and complaints. Paraplegic Shane Thompson is a patient care advocate at St. Andrew’s Hospital. She hasn’t let life in a wheelchair cloud over her love for life. And Fr. John Francis is the hospital chaplain at St. Andrew’s and parish priest at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He has important decisions to make, and he is guided by his heart. As she gathers fodder for her next book, Rachel relies on these special people who make her life all the better for being a part of it.
