Jim Ewertz - Graduated from Florida Institute of Technology. Senior BIOS Architect at Intel Corporation for many years. Jim help promote ACPI and has been resposible for the architecture and implementation of Advanced Plug and Play technology.

Gary Konzak –A BS EET from Brigham Young University, with programming as well as an electronics design emphasis, prepared him to solve a variety of real-world problems using microcontrollers. Thirty years later his love for innovating with microcontrollers only grows deeper. After working over four years for the largest non-captive keyboard manufacturer in the world Gary became intimately familiar with the PC keyboard interface, the wellspring for these books.

John Koon - A BSEE from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA and a MBA in Marketing from San Diego State University. John has over 25 years of management experience in product development and marketing for high-tech companies including HP and Western Digital. Product types include Life-cycle management of hardware, software and silicon in USA and China. Koon has published the USB Technology and Market Reports, version 1.1, 2.0, On-the-go and Wireless USB. Additionally, Koon has contributed many technical articles and is a frequent speaker on various technical topics including Medical Device Introduction and Management. Sean Liming - Owner of Annabooks, LLC. He has been involved with embedded systems for over 17 years and he has authored several articles and books including the popular Windows XP Embedded Advanced. Sean has worked at Intel and Annasoft Systems. He received his BSEE from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California, where he focused on computer architecture and design.

John R. Malin - An early pioneer in using IBM-PC’s to develop embedded software for x86-based embedded devices in the mid 80’s. Over the past 20 years John has worked with a number of embedded operating systems starting with VRTX, Nucleus, PharLap, ThreadX, Windows CE, XP Embedded, .NET Micro Framework, and Windows Embedded Standard 7. He has also co-authored a number of articles and white papers covering embedded development. John is a cofounder of Annabooks, LLC and has a BS and MS in Solid State Physics from Case Western Reserve University.

Ed Nisley - Ed has spent 3 decades in the trenches of embedded programming and hardware design. His career began with a decade at IBM, designing and building neat stuff like mainframe CPUs, SPC instrumentation, bit-sliced graphic firmware, and even a digital video disk. Currently, he is an writer for Dr. Dobb’s and Circuit Cellar INK.

Ed Solari - Received his BS and MS degrees in EE-CE from University of California, Berkeley. Ed has worked for both Hewlett-Packard and Intel. Ed was a member of the IEEE P996 Working Group, which developed the AT bus standard. He has worked closely with the PCI Special Interest Group, and has been involved in the development of the PCI chipsets, platform designs, and telephony projects.

Wooi Ming Tan - Received a Masters of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He focused on USB microcontroller development at Intel, where he worked with various OEMs to develop and demonstrate USB products.

George Willse - Graduated from American River College, Sacramento, California. George has worked at Intel Corporation for 19 years. George was the senior BIOS Engineer for the first PCI-based System BIOS, and he has been involved with the Advanced Plug and Play since its inception.
